General Information Inside Traders; Please note that inside traders who sign up for a regular inside stall are required to open every Sunday (with the exception of Christmas Week and January). If this is not possible, your stock must be removed on the Sunday as we cannot have closed up/empty stalls while we are open to the public. This also applies to the Summer Wednesdays.
Christmas Event; It is compulsory to decorate your stall and dress in appropriate costume for the Skirlington Christmas Event. There are plenty of great value decorations and costumes available on line. If you are not prepared to participate then your stall must be cleared (no rent will be charged for that day) and we can allocate the stall to a trader who is beneficial to the celebrations. Specified Rental rates apply to this day (see above). To pre-book a casual pitch for the event please apply on the Christmas Events page. Full payment in advance is required to secure your pitch.
Parking; The trader’s car park is located at the far left of site, adjacent to the petticoat lane area of the market. Petticoat lane runs down the left hand side of the indoor market (approaching from the main car park). To access the trader’s car park, drive past the car boot entrance and take the next left and continue past the car boot toilet block. This will lead you into the trader’s park.
Refuse; There are facilities for cardboard recycling and general refuse bins. The trader must flatten any cardboard and bag up any general refuse and place in the correct bin. The bins are located in the trader’s car park. Ensure all food waste is removed from stalls. Food waste attracts vermin and can lead to stock damage. Please note this is monitored by CCTV.
Market Regulations; Outside traders are required to have a green and white striped tarpaulin stall cover. Gazebo style stalls are welcome (must be fit for purpose, erected properly and secured) and are exempt from the green and white regulation. Stall covers are not permitted inside.
